Swan River Print Studio (SRPS) is an artist run Western Australian not-for-profit organisation supporting contemporary printmaking in WA.

The studio provides shared professional facilities for fifteen members and access for WA artists working in intaglio, relief and artist books. Through specialist equipment, mentoring, peer learning and workshops with interstate master artists, SRPS sustains professional practice and national engagement.

We provide a professional working printmaking studio for artists to develop techniques, experiment and share skills.

Studio members have access to a clean professional space, large-scale etching press, a Columbian flat bed Press, a dryroom and printmakers with extensive experience.

Mentoring and sharing to expand and develop printmaking practice is important to our group. Core members are encouraged to explore their own ‘voice’ in their practice.

Artists Projects: We understand that artists may want to incorporate printmaking into their practice or project, so in addition a printmaking service can be offered working alongside artists, by special arrangement.

Swan River Print Studio holds events and exhibitions for participating members and for invited guests. Events are held on site at Goolagatup Cultural Precinct in the printmaking studios, as well as in local, national and international galleries. SRPS holds: A curated annual exhibition Goolagatup/Melville Open Studios Open Days with Perth Makers Market Gallery exhibitions Members exhibitions Professional masterclasses Community, schools and artist projects

Swan River Print members are invited to join when a space becomes available. A comprehensive application is assessed by the Executive Committee and a sessional membership may be offered.

The effective management of the Swan River Print Studio relies entirely on the voluntary efforts and dedicated hard work of Members and the Executive Management Committee.

The role of members extends to educating the public in printmaking and encouraging an enthusiastic art loving audience through participation in events and exhibitions.

SRPS encourages membership with the Print Association of Western Australia PAWA and the Print Council of Australia PCA to strengthen the print making ecosystem.
